Welcome to the ECE Research Computer Support Group (RCSG)

The RCSG will be taking over the support of all the PAMI computing and electronic systems.

 

Here is a list of the fulltime staff we have in the RCSG and what their roles are in the ECE department.

Paul Ludwig (Manager and Hardware Specialist)

Paul can help in the following areas: purchase or new equipment, help repairing old equipment, surplus of old equipment, ordering of toner and inks for printers, troubleshooting hardware problems, report break-ins to office and labs, setup work requests, get quotes for equipment.

As Manager of ECE Research Computer Support Group, any problem or concerns should be brought to the attention of Paul Ludwig.

Phil Regier  (UNIX/LINUX Specialist)

Phil can help with Unix/Linux problems, setup of printer systems, help with MATLAB and other software licenses, website additions, install and configure application software, do CMC installs and updates, backup and backup servers, network connections and setup.

Fernando Rivero Hernandez (Windows Specialist)

Fernando can help with any Windows problems, email problems and setup, Window operating system installs and updates, application software installs and repairs, data base development and implementation, virus and malware cleaning, network connections and setup, domain server

Stephen Utter (Windows Specialist)
Steve can help with any Windows problems, email problems and setups, Window operating system installs and updates, application software installs and repairs, virus and malware cleaning, network connections and setup, and domain server.

 

You can also walk to the ECE RCSG Lab at EIT 4177 for help at anytime during working hours. You can get answers to questions or bring in items that need repair.

 

We also have a work request system under the ECE website, push the computer resources tab, and then submit new ECE work request tab. Please disregard the labour charges your group would be faculty and grad services which is all prepaid service group.
