There is a UNIX password, a
Windows password, a
Samba password, and a Web account password. You
are free to change the passwords individually, but you should bear in mind
the following restriction: The Samba password
has to match the Windows password so that you can print from
Windows and mount your UNIX home directory on Windows automatically upon login. This is so
important, since most people tend to change their Windows password only and forget to change
their Samba password to match the Windows password, which makes them unable to
access their Z: drive or the printer.
Your UNIX password is your
email account password, and is not affected by changing your Windows and/or
Samba passwords.
